Catalis Conferencing, Derby
This one day conference is intended to provide an insight into data analysis techniques across all levels and includes an opportunity for delegates to bring their problems and difficulties to be discussed in an open forum as well as hearing how others have approached problems. The morning presentations are aimed at basic analysis techniques and understanding while the afternoon presentations will look at more advanced topics.
| 09:15-09:45 | Coffee and Registration |
| 09:45-10:00 | Opening Remarks - Dr Barrie May, Consultant |
| 10:00-10:30 | Basic analysis procedures - David Ensor, MIRA |
| This presentation reviews some basic data analysis procedures and highlights errors that can arise from simple mistakes and incorrect interpretation of results | |
| 10:30-11:00 | The myth of accuracy - Damian Harty, Prodrive |
| What are the considerations in determining the accuracy requirements for data analysis from both an application and economic points of view? | |
| 11:00-11:30 | Coffee |
| 11:30-12:00 | Accessing data quality - Is my data any good? - Geoff Rowlands, nCode International |
| This presentation will show some techniques for assessing the quality of data, and will explain how to check that it is “fit for purpose” | |
| 12:00-12:30 | Question and Answer forum |
| Have you any problems with analysing or interpreting data? If so bring them along and ask the presenters for their help | |
| 12:30-14:00 | Lunch |
| 14:00-14:30 | Data analysis software verification - Dr Barrie May |
| 14:30-15:00 | To be confirmed |
| 15:00-15:30 | Tea |
| 15:30-16:00 | Analysis using spatial sampling - Dr Colin Mercer, Prosig |
| A look at the differences in analysing data collected by spatial sampling as compared to temporal sampling | |
| 16:00-16:30 | Analysis of field data prior to deriving a simulation test in the laboratory - Dr Colin Dodds, Dodds & Associates |
| This presentation will examine how we can implement a laboratory test, which will simulate the damage caused by the wheel loads originating from different proving ground tracks, on the rear suspension of a small car | |
| 16:30-16:45 | Closing Remarks |
