Catalis Conferencing, Derby
The Engineering Integrity Society invites delegates to attend a one-day conference on Data Analysis Techniques on June 28th, 2006 in Derby, UK. The conference is intended to provide an insight into data analysis techniques across all levels.
This is an opportunity to share experience in the field as delegates are encouraged to bring their own problems and queries to be discussed in an open forum session, providing the opportunity to seek advice from the presenters as well as gain new perspectives and insights into how other practitioners have handled similar challenges.
The morning presentations are aimed at providing an overview of basic analysis techniques, determining the accuracy requirements of an analysis and assessing the quality of data. Presenters will also highlight the errors that can arise from simple mistakes and incorrect interpretation of results.
The afternoon sessions will look at more advanced topics such as data analysis software verification, linking data analysis to finite element analysis, analysis using spatial sampling and the analysis of field data prior to deriving a simulation test in the laboratory.
Presentations will be made by Dr Barrie May (Consultant), David Ensor (MIRA), Damian Harty (Prodrive), Dr Colin Mercer (Prosig) and Colin Dodds (Dodds & Associates).
