Durability and fatigue advances in wind, wave and tidal energy
bristol. november 2010
Call For Papers
Introduction:
Building on the success of the previous EIS Durability and Fatigue Advances in Wind, Wave and Tidal Energy in 2006 and 2008, the society is scheduling the next event for November 2010. In light of accelerated progress due to climate consideration, major projects have recently been launched that require inspired durability concepts to ensure long term survivability. Papers are invited on all aspects of structural integrity analysis, design, testing and monitoring of renewable energy devices. A particular emphasis is on the need to develop new methods to build large scale wind farms and other renewable energy systems off-shore. This requires further development of current design standards, models and methods to ensure reliable and maintainable structures.
Presentations are invited and a short abstract of no more than 500 words would be welcome. Speakers selected for presentation will be able to attend for the whole day free of charge.
Abstracts to arrive no later then 30th November 2009, by email to:
Lisa Mansfield
