Objective of the working party

 

The objective is to develop benchmark tests to verify the correctness of software computations used and as a training aid in engineering data analysis. The tests will not be designed to assess the relative fitness for purpose of any analysis package.

Declarations by software suppliers that their packages have been tested against the benchmarks


It is acceptable for suppliers to declare that the benchmarks have been used to verify their software provided the form of wording given below is employed and the benchmarks used are specified.

If the benchmarks are to be quoted then the EIS would appreciate being informed of the use and we request that a link to the benchmark web site is included in any web based information.

The Form of wording is:
