Durability and Fatigue Advances in Wind, Wave, and Tidal Energy
BAWA, Bristol, UK – 3rd and 4th November 2008
This two day event in Bristol follows the successful event held in November 2006 where speakers’ highlighted recent progress in design and development of power generation from the wind, wave and tide. See previous programme, abstracts and final report
The forthcoming second event is aimed at practising engineers involved with the structural aspects of this technology. It focuses on advances in the durability, reliability and the associated risk factors in the rapid development of renewable energy technologies. In particular, the event aims to bring new developments in offshore wind energy and offshore marine energy technologies.
We are especially encouraging speakers from emerging technologies as well as from established companies. Speakers selected for presentation will be able to attend for the whole day of their presentation free of charge.
A short abstract of no more than 500 words is invited in all aspects of relevant design development or research. About 20 contributions will be selected for presentation and abstracts published in the EIS Journal. Up to 5 contributions will be invited to submit a technical paper in a special edition of the EIS Journal.
Abstracts to arrive no later then 31st August 2008, by email to:
